Freelance trainer - PRINCE2 and MSP

PRINCE2 Trainer since 2002

As experienced project-/programme manager I was mainly successful restructuring failing projects. Especially in highly political environments, my approach often delivered results. Obviously, these situations resulted in many lessons.

In 2002 I was given the chance to attend a PRINCE2 Practitioner course, delivered by a respected British trainer. Later in 2002 I was trained as a PRINCE2 trainer by the same British trainer.

From 2002 I was an APMG Approved PRINCE2 Trainer.

MSP Trainer since 2005

In 2005 I decided to gain knowledge to gain more theoretical knowledge of (strategic) programme management. Sponsored by a small, but very prominent British consultancy/training organisation, I passed the MSP Advanced Practitioner exam. A few months later, I was successfully trained to become a MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) trainer, again sponsored by the same consultancy.

From 2005 I was an APMG Approved MSP Trainer.

Anywhere in the world

As trainer I have been active almost everywhere in Europe and beyond. I deliver Dutch and English courses.

Apart from courses in The Netherlands, I have often trained in England, Belgium and Germany. But I was also active in the rest of Europe. From Ireland and all parts of the United Kingdom to Ukraine and Romania. From Norway to Spain, Switzerland and Austria.

But also outside Europe: I delivered courses in countries such as Egypt, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh and Kenya.

PRINCE2 Trainer

In 2002 I was given the chance to attend a PRINCE2 Practitioner course, delivered by a respected British trainer. Later in 2002 I was trained as a PRINCE2 trainer by the same British trainer.

My approach as a PRINCE2 trainer is based on these principles:

  1. A training must be enjoyable for the delegates.
  2. Understanding works; memorizing usually does not.
  3. PRINCE2 delivers wise lessons; the Principles are the basis.

MSP Trainer

Approach and style

In my view, a MSP trainer should focus almost completely on Leadership, Vision, Benefits en Stakeholder Engagement.

A MSP trainer should approach a the training as a coach. It is important to use real-life examples.
